Starting Again
Ok well I haven’t been writing much. I was on a roll with this project and got stopped in my tracks when I couldn’t find Jay-Z’s album free to stream anywhere. Meaning it wasn’t on Spotify.

Album: Coachella 2017 on film
I was in the midst of a big disposable camera phase when my friends and I went to Coachella.

#35: Bob Dylan, "Triplicate"
I’m listening to this album a day late because by the time I got home last night and scrolled down to discover my homework was a three-disc Bob Dylan tome of a record, I had used up all my self-discipline for the day and preferred to spend the last hours of my evening scrolling through Instagram on the couch and then reading by book about the periodic table of the elements in bed, in silence.

No Time to Put It Off
I used to find absurd the idea that I would write at night, after work.
“I’m a writer,” I’d tell people, and they’d at some point in the conversation mention their assumption that I must write at night.

#38: Residente, "Residente"
It’s the first self-titled album on the list. Quite possibly the only.

#40: Grizzly Bear, "Painted Ruins"
At first, this thing was called “WErrDD,” which stood for Write Erry Dam Day. Because that sounded stupid, I changed it to “WERD”, which just looks better and stands for Write Everyday, Really, Dam. This fits my vernacular much better.

#50. Code Orange, "Forever"
I had no idea what was awaiting me when I first scrolled down on the article detailing Rolling Stone’s list of the 50 best (according to them) albums of 2017. I listened to a bit of the podcast where the writers discussed the list, but their conversation bounced from album to album in no particular order, and I didn’t finish the episode anyway.

Writing Project: Rolling Stone's 50 Best Albums of 2017
WERD stands for Write Everyday, Really, Dam., and is a new thing I'm doing where I give myself a challenge to write every day. Starting... right now.
One of my favorite podcasts to listen to occasionally when they talk about a topic I'm already interested in is Rolling Stone Music Now. Go listen to their episode where they rank every Taylor Swift song.

Birds Can't Type
I pulled open the big metal door and stepped back into my apartment building. It was the first of what I’m saying are going to be daily morning walks through the neighborhood. So far I’ve got a two-day streak! Out of six days. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

ART CO.
Cameron and I set out to start exploring the neighborhood with no goals in mind. That's how we like it. Though, we did have someplace to be. Cameron's friend was getting married in a warehouse just two blocks from my apartment, yet another place within a few-minutes' walk from home that I had yet to discover.

Looking Out My Window
The other night I put on some music and sat down at my desk to eat dinner, as I usually do when I'm alone. I had a bunch of things out on my desk I thought I might work on, but I'd been working a lot that week, so I put it all away and just looked out my window and ate.
